Get Some Mojo

Cleaning up after my 2 year old while baking another bun in the oven, I am definitely in need of some Mojo. When Austin Powers is nowhere in sight, escape to the Land of Nod, where they sell their fabulous Mojo.!

I covet this toy box/bench. I'm all for storage that doubles as modern eye candy. The price tag, on the other hand, I can do without. Who knew Mojo was so expensive?

Boardome

Mr. Red is really into skateboards now. I mean reaalllly. I don't think anyone can truly grasp how seriously into skateboards he is unless you spend an hour or so with us. With that being said, the hubby and I figured he may enjoy the wheeled board accessory for our Bugaboo.

His skateboard obsession comes at an ideal time since the hubby and I are exploring several different options for strolling along 2 tots now. We're struggling whether to invest in a boat, I mean double stroller, or forgo the boat, I mean double stroller, and go with the board instead.

There seem to be several pros and cons to this board, more cons for a tiny gal like me. But nonetheless it's pretty cool, and even more cool to my lil sk8terboi.

Green Birthday Parties

The April edition of L.A. Parent is out now and my article about Eco Friendly Kids Birthday Parties made the cover feature! So like the Pointer Sisters, minus their long legs, I'm so excited! I just can't hide it!

Pick one up now or you can read their digital version. L.A. Parent is an awesome resource for parents about kid-friendly events, arts, culture, products, and fun for the whole family.

For this particular article, I got to interview the ever popular and ever-green Tree Hugger, Discovery Health's own, Sara Snow. Plus I also feature my very own sis and friends in it, so read all about it!

Chalk Greetings

Guestbooks are tricky business. I mean, you're already having a great time at the party, mingling, catching up, getting ready to chow down on some grub, and then your social mood is suddenly interrupted by an all too-happy bridesmaid, demanding you to stop what you're doing and sign the guestbook. Chances are...you never get to it.

So nowadays, hosts are wisening up and making their guestbooks an event of their own. Recently, I came upon a very clever and fun idea from a real wedding from Fullerton, CA.

Guests simply write a message on the big chalkboard and pose for a snapshot to be later compiled in a guestbook! Entertaining for guests, a gift for the hosts, fun for all. As Martha would say, it's a good thing.

Carve It

Again, my apologies for the delay in cool posts. Busy busy times.

Here's a cool way to get your message across. Carve it in wood! A wooden postcard that is. Carve or scratch your sentiments on the lightweight wood surface and send it off! We all know I'm a huge fan of anything woodgrain, so why not your mail?

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Yes, I've received that chain email many years ago...and by now, most of you have too, I'm sure. But like most chain emails, I paid no attention to it. Delete.
Well years later, and now that I have Mr Red, who is a self proclaimed "Cookie Monster," I've now become a Chocolate Chip Cookie Connoissuer. Personally, I don't like Chocolate Chips, my ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie would be sans chocolate chips. Then people always ask me why I just don't get a sugar cookie instead...It's just not the same. So my son and I eat the perfect cookie together perfectly. I eat the cookie parts, and he eats the chocolate chip parts!..

...I digress...So my girlfriends told me about this Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe again, and so we finally try it, and low and behold, it's one freaking yummy cookie!

So give it a try. I don't have a sweet tooth, I don't really like cookies, but this one was good enough for me to post, so that's gotta say something.

Bun in the Oven

As some of you may already know, I've got another bun in the oven! Yup, we're expecting again, and Mr. Red is still in denial. But speaking of buns in the oven, I came across this mouth watering blog, SCANWHICHES, and it's just scrumptuous! Yesterday's featured sandwich is one of my faves, a Vietnamese Banh Mi! Oh how I miss those, and I just don't know where to get any! So I will just stare at the scan with delight for now. Birthdays

Hello Cool People. My apologies for the delay in posts, last week Mr. Red turned 2! So I was busy with all the pre, day of, and post birthday festivities!

But things have settled down (a little bit) and so there is time (a little bit) once again to post all things cool.

Speaking of Birthdays, I found the coolest idea for a cupcake holder. Check out these cute dinosaur cupcakes (pictured on the right) placed in none other than an IKEA candle holder! Clever right? I'm hitting IKEA later today to grab me some!

Special thanks to my cool pal Mia for the cool tip!
