Oh Baby!
Sorry for the delay in posts folks! This little guy has been keeping me mighty busy lately!
Our little one arrived on Wednesday morning amidst all the wild fires here in Los Angeles. We're doing fine and mr. Red is already an awesome Big Brother!
I'll feature more posts shortly.

Tissue Box Holder
You know that person who has everything? Well we'll bet he/she doesn't have this!
The Sarut Tissue Box Holder is both hilarious and functional!
There is a plastic sleeve so you can change out the photo as you wish. The pop up nose and mustache are there to stay and add some humor to any pic you add. I think I already know a perfect photo of mr. Red to use!
It makes an awesome gift and an even better conversation starter!

Happy Birthday Hubby!
Today is the hubby's birthday! We actually celebrated last weekend instead since I wasn't sure if I'd make it to this week without popping beforehand!
Mr. Red and I treated the Hubby to brunch at TART! Yummy food and great atmosphere. We ate out on the patio where there was plenty of room for Mr. Red to run around.
Afterwards, we spoiled the hubby with some much needed R & R time at Ra Organic Spa. Let's just say its the calm before the storm!
Then this past weekend, my family treated us to Yamashiro for both our birthdays! Pretty fancy place with a pretty fancy view!
And today, on his actual birthday, mr. Red and I are gonna see what we can whip up!
So Happy Birthday to the best hubby and daddy of all time!

Bodalee Trees
We're almost done re-doing the nursery / toddler room. And one of the first things off our list was to add some decals to the walls. Mr. Red's room is painted a Tiffany Blue so when I saw these modern tree decals, I knew it would work perfectly! Bodalee's Trees are an awesome addition! Mr. Red loves the animals, though he would prefer to see some skateboarding decals as well.
I'll post pics once the room is done.

Inner Message Ring
Hmmmmmm...Hmmmmmm.....
Not sure how comfy this is, but clever nonetheless. Yoon Jung Yun's Inner Message Rings have a hidden message inside that leaves an impression on your finger so that the message remains, even when the ring is not on.
Hmmmmmmm...perhaps for those hubbies who somehow often forget to wear their wedding bands? You can customize your own message as well.

Jones Soda
I've always been a fan of Jones Pure Cane Soda packaging, I'm just not a fan of soda in general. So I continue to admire their colorful and playful labels, just not drink em. I've always wanted to host a party and have personalized Jones Sodas for all the guests, but I can never seem to throw a small-enough soiree. Our parties just always seem to be too big to do the intimate details.
Regardless, I think it's a cool idea. So just wanted to share. Go personalize your own Jones Sodas for your next shin-dig. You can insert your very own pic, and include a quick summary or story of your event. And it's all laid out in the traditional Jones' Soda labels. Definitely party perfect.
In this instance, it's quite alright to keep up with the Jones'.

Oh Baby!
Such awesome baby shower favors by Erin Jang of Indigo Bunting. She created these favors for a friend's baby shower and their last name is "Oh" hence the "Oh Baby!" She was inspired by the nursery ryhme, "What are little boys made of?" She put gummy frogs inside the muslin bags since snails and puppy dog tails are harder to come by...Genius!

It's my theory that cool straws make for better drinks. mr. red loves using straws so I wanted to make things a bit more fun and so I found a collection of vintage straws out there that should do the trick.
In order:

Pink Stripey Straws by Jack and Lulu coming soon

Another Year Older...
Today is my birthday, so mr. red and the hubby planned a fun birthday weekend. Low-key, since I can't do much nowadays with the big belly, but time with my boys, which is all I really want.
Friday kicked off my birthday weekend with some quality family time at the Americana at Brand, so mr. red could have some fun at the playground there. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory there, where I always try to save some room for cheesecake, but never get to it.
Saturday, we had brunch at Marstons where mr. red had the fantastic french toast, which is two thick slices sourdough dipped in egg batter and rolled in corn flakes. A definite winner. Then we went back home so I could rejuvinate since I only last for so long carrying around this big belly in the summer heat. Then we ventured out to Universal Citywalk so mr. red could run around and cause a raucous!
Then today, on my actual birthday, we celebrated with brunch at Alcove Cafe and Bakery. Delicious food, ginormous portions and fun on the patio. Tonight, we will escape to visit the new Griffith Park Observatory so mr. red can see the stars.

Toy Box
I've been on the hunt for a sleek, clean, modern toy box for mr. red's room. And to my surprise, there are hardly any out there! But I did stumble upon this fabulous shop by mod mom - and her toy boxes are truly just that, fabulously mod!
The hubby and I absolutely love the Owyn Toy Box, however, it's a bit beyond our budget.
So the brilliant hubby came up with a very cool solution! We found a pretty sleek, minimal, natural wood toybox at target with clean lines for only $49.99! And so he suggested we get that and then stick decals on it! So it resembles the mod look of the Owyn Toy Box! Genius right? I'm just ashamed I didn't think of it myself.
So I have a new project and will post pics once it's done.
